Rating
systemIn the Optimization rating system options dialog box, you can extend the rating system of Ranking Toolbox individually, integrating your personal criteria and analysis.
You can generate individual rating systems for any search engine and save them as *.rto files. These files may also be exchanged with other users or within your company.
The rating system is based on the following items:
Document name
Title (Title tag)
Refresh value
Description meta tag
Keywords meta tag
Text
HREF tag
ALT tag
With these items, you can perfectly optimize an HTML document in order to achieve the best results listings at search engines!
WARNING: To avoid errors in the analysis and results, only perform changes if you perfectly understood the program.
In the Optimization rating system options dialog box, you can make the following settings:
In the General area, you can set global parameters which will be valid for the whole analysis.
Warn if document size is more than n bytes: Enter 0, to deselect this review, or enter a value to get a warning if the analyzed document exceeds this size.
Perform link checking in HTML source: If this check box is checked, all links in the document will be validated during the analysis. That way, you make sure that the links on your site are without errors. The appropriate report will be displayed at the end of the Optimization report.
Encode special characters: This option allows the correct recognition of special characters.
0 points on no keyword found in item source: This option interrupts all detail checks, if no keyword has been found in a main entry (e. g. title or keywords meta tag).
Ignore upper/lowercase: If this check box is checked, upper and lower case is ignored during the analysis.
Display keyword summary in report: If this option is activated, a summary is displayed at the end of the Optimization report. There you see which items of the checked document contain the searched keyword.
In the Analysis item area you can adjust the properties of main entries.
NOTE: For main entries, only choose the value for Intervals and leave the other options unchanged.
All main entries (except for Summary) have the following options:
Max. points: Defines the maximum number of points for this main entry (including its possible sub-entries). It is recommended to leave the value 100 and to choose a higher value for weighting.
Weighting: Defines the weighting of the main entry (including its possible sub-entries). This value is multiplied by the value in Max. points and that way defines the total number of points for the respective main entry.
Intervals: Defines the intervals for displaying hints in the report and should not be changed.
In the Analysis item area you can adjust the properties of sub-entries.
Amount of characters (length): Defines the rating of the number of characters. This is an important criteria for items like title or keywords.
Capitalization: Defines the frequency of capitalization. Here you can specify how, for example, exaggerated capitalization is to be rated.
Repetitions value: Defines the rating of word repetitions. Here you can rate, for example, not allowed repetitions of certain words.
Keyword percentage: Defines the rating of the keyword frequency.
