Use the Website scanner to scan all links and HTML documents of a website.
This might be useful if you, for example, want to analyze the ranking of your entire website without having to enter every single document manually.
To use the Website scanner go to the Ranking section and select URL(s), on the left there is the Scan URLs button. To scan your website do the following:
Type in the root URL to be scanned. By default the entry from the URL field is displayed.
Select whether the program should check HTML files only, or other files as well, e.g. php, cgi, asp. To ignore external links (e.g. ad banners, partner sites, etc.), check the Internal links only checkbox.
Under Links to scan, determine which HTML areas are to be checked, e.g. links within tables, linked images, etc.
Determine the Scan depth. If you enter, for example, 100, the program will not only check the start page (the selected URL), but also the linked pages to a depth of 100.
Determine the Max. pages, i.e. the number of scanned documents. Note that this might take quite long, if you enter a high value, and the Internal links only option is deactivated.
Click Scan to start the reading process. The duration of the scanning process depends on the complexity of your website and the speed of your connection.
When the scanning process is finished, all the
links that were found are displayed.
HINT: To take over the links, select them and click the Add links button.
