Query

In the Query section, you can start a query. To go to this program section, click Ranking / Query, or click Next after having selected search services.

Before starting the query, you can make the following settings:

• Number of threads: Determine the number of threads to be activated simultaneously for the query.

• Max. matches: Determine the number of results.

• Use browser for querying: If this option is activated, the program uses the browser for the query instead of the search script of the search services. This method takes more time, but will retrieve more exact results. The results displayed are the same results you get when you use the search engine directly.

• Check for exact URLs: If you select this option Ranking Toolbox searches for the specified URL, e.g. www.mysite.com. If you do not select this opton all similar URLs are considered e.g. www.mysite.com/document1.html.

To start the search engine's query, click Start. Note that you can only start the query, if you have entered all the required information in the previous sections.
