In the Scanning for links dialog box, you set the following scan options:
In the Links to check area, you define whether the program should check HTML files only, or other files as well, e.g. php, cgi, asp. To ignore external links (e.g. ad banners, partner site, etc.), check the Internal links only check box. In the Link tags to scan area, you determine which HTML sections are to be checked: e.g. links within tables, linked images, etc.
Then you determine the Scan depth. For example, if you enter here 100, the program will not check the start page (the URL defined in the URL field), but also the linked pages to a depth of 100.
Select the maximum number of documents to scan from the Max. pages field. Note that this might take quite long, if you enter a high value and the Internal links only option is deactivated.
In the Threads count field, you define the number of threads to be followed. If the links of a document link to another document which also links to a document, the program follows this thread until there are no more links.
Then click Scan to start the scanning process. The duration of the scanning process depends on the complexity of your website and the speed of your connection.
When the scanning
process is finished, all the links that were found are displayed.
NOTE: To add links to your project, highlight them and click Add links.
